365 days of activities: day 10

haven't played a board game for awhile with the kids.we played dora candyland. sammi didn't care what we were trying to do. she just wanted to grab pieces. we let her hang out with us for one game then she had to go night night. segan did a good job playing. I remembered last year he didn't really understand what we were doing and acted like how sammi was when we played yesterday.

365 days of activities: day 9

2 days behind posting our blog activities. i had the pics but didn't get the chance to blog about it. this activity, we played hide n seek all over the house. we took turns hiding and seeking (parents against kids). segan for the most part while we were seeking him, would jump out before we found him. at one point, it took us 10mins to find jadyn. she was a good hider.

365 days of activities: day 8

we took all our extra food that was already opened and made a smorgasbord of food. kids helped prepare dessert and main dishes. while we were gathering the foods we were also cleaning out the pantry, cabinets, and fridge. it looks so much nicer when things are less cluttered.

the heat didn't stop us!

although the temps were crazy hot today, we still were able to get out of the house and enjoy our morning at the children's museum. we took the kids to the museum last week to check out the new legos and hot wheels exhibit. we didn't stay long because we knew it was going to get really busy. but we told the kids that we'd come back again this weekend and stay much longer and see everything else. it's nice when you have a membership to the museum. it allows you to get in an hour early before the crowd. we were able to see everything we needed to before it got too busy today. after the museum we picked up some hot dogs and corn dogs from a new hot dog place called DJ's. we took our lunch to circle center mall and then had godiva for dessert.

365 days of activities: day 7

kids are having a slumber party in the living room. whenever we decide to do this, it usually takes forever for the kids to fall asleep. sammi tends to stay up as long as she can if she sleeps in the living room with her brothers and sister. so I had to put her back in her own room afterwhile. as for the older kids, the last one to finally fall asleep was just before 10p.

365 days of activities: day 6

today, kids learned how to send a letter. they chose to send a letter to daddy's work (I told jeff, to not check the blog til monday because it was something to do with him). we all went to the local post office together and mailed the letter. daddy will be very happy when he gets to work monday!

didn't get a chance to post day 5's activity yesterday. kids drew on one long strip of poster paper that i taped to the wall.
